Ciência do Exercício Aquático

Aquatic Exercise Science

We selected eight articles published in the most renowned scientific journals in the field as recommended reading. One article discusses the impact of on land versus aquatic environments on orthostatic hypotension in older adults, and another investigates the effects of aquatic exercises on cognitive functions in older adults. We also suggest papers on: the effects of aquatic versus conventional physical exercise in a therapeutic program for grade III ankle sprains; the effects of aquatic exercise for people with asthma; demographic and clinical characteristics associated with non-response to physical therapy in chronic low back pain; the effects of aquatic physical training on functional and hemodynamic responses in patients with heart failure; and the effects of aquatic exercises during plyometrics on pain, muscle strength, postural stability, and functional performance in children with hemophilic arthropathy of the knee.
